City lifts boil water notice for Harvey Street area
November 21
22:02 2018

Effective immediately,  Wednesday, Nov. 21, the City of Breckenridge has canceled the boil water notice issued last week.

The notice affected water customers from Harding to Harvey on Wheeler Street, Harding to Harvey on Hullum Street, and the 100-300 blocks of South Harvey Street. It was issued on Thursday, Nov. 15.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to current interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption. The necessary corrective actions was taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality, and the City has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559- 7249.
