Friday, Nov. 16
Turkey Trot
North Elementary will have its annual Turkey Trot at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16. Families are welcome to participate in the one-mile walk/run. The entry fee is one canned good or non-perishable per person to be donated to Cafe Love.

Mingle and Jingle
The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce’s annual Mingle and Jingle shopping event will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16. A variety of local businesses will stay open late to give shoppers a chance to get an early start on the holiday spirit. NOTE: This is a change in the date. Mingle and Jingle was originally scheduled for Thursday but was changed due to the Breckenridge High School football team playing in a playoff football game Thursday night.

Nov. 17-18
Craft Guild Craft Show
The Breckenridge Craft Guild will host its annual Craft Show on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17 and 18, at First United Methodist Church’s Christian Life Center, 419 W. Walker St. The Craft Show will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The Craft Guild requests a $1 entry fee, which will be donated to charities. There will be door prizes both days.

Saturday, Nov. 17
Turkey Giveaway at Breck Trade Days
Everyone attending Breck Trade Days on Saturday, Nov. 17, can enter to win a turkey. To enter the drawing, attend the event at the Breck Trade Day Barn south of the City Park between 9 a.m. and noon and fill out an entry form. Note: the winner does not have to be present to win.

Sunday, Nov. 18
Community Thanksgiving Service
The Breckenridge Ministerial Alliance will host a Community Thanksgiving Service at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at The Lighthouse Church, 1509 E. Walker St.

Nov. 19-23
BISD Thanksgiving Holidays
Breckenridge schools will be out for the Thanksgiving Holiday Break for the week of Thanksgiving, Nov. 19-23. Regular classes will resume on Monday, Nov. 26.

Thursday, Nov. 22
Thanksgiving
Thursday, Nov. 12, will be Thanksgiving across the United States. Schools, government offices, banks and many businesses will be closed.

Saturday, Dec. 1
“Christmas Homecoming” Concert
The National Theatre in Breckenridge will present  “Christmas Homecoming with the Higgins” featuring Jerrol and Tammy Higgins of Graham, on Saturday, Dec. 1. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $15 for students if paid for with cash or check; tickets purchased with a credit or debit card will cost $26 for adults and $15.75 for students. Tickets are available at the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce office, 100 E. Elm St. The show will begin at 7 p.m. at the National Theatre, 116 E. Walker St. in Breckenridge. A reception will immediately follow the concert.

Saturday, Dec. 8
Breckenridge Christmas Parade
The Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the annual Breckenridge Christmas Parade in downtown Breckenridge at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. This year’s theme is “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” Parade packets for those who want to enter a float or group in the parade are available at the Chamber of Commerce, 100 E. Elm St. to pick up a parade packet. All entry forms are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. For more information, call the Chamber at (254) 559-2301.
