Breckenridge schools start on Thursday, Aug. 16
Breckenridge Independent School District will start classes on Thursday, Aug. 16.
The 2018-19 schedule includes 171 school days for students, with the last day of school being May 23, 2019.
The first holiday of the school year will be Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3. The students will also be out of class on Oct. 3, a day scheduled for parent-teacher conferences; Oct. 8 for Columbus Day; and Nov. 12 for a professional development day for teachers.
The Thanksgiving break is scheduled for Nov. 19-23, and the last day of school before the Christmas break will be Dec. 21. After the new year, the students will return to school on Jan. 7.
