Registrations for new, returning BISD students underway; Meet the Teacher nights scheduled
To many, it may seem like summer has just started, but the first day of school for Breckenridge Independent School District will be Thursday, Aug. 16, and registrations for new and returning students are underway.
Students can be registered online at the BISD website (www.breckenridgeisd.org) through the Skyward Family Access. For more information, click on the “BISD Online Enrollment” link on the home page of the website.
Breckenridge High School Registration and Schedule Pick-up
New students who did not attend a BISD school last year must register online or at the high school.
Additionally, students who attended BISD last year and will be in the 9th-12th grade this year, must complete the online “Returning Registration” information in order to receive a class schedule.
Registered BHS students, may pick up their schedules at the following times:
- Seniors – Friday, Aug. 10 – 8 a.m. to noon
- Juniors – Friday, Aug. 10 – 1-5 p.m.
- Sophomores – Monday, Aug. 13 – 8 a.m. to noon
- Freshmen – Monday, Aug. 13 – 1-5 p.m.
Breckenridge Junior High School Registration and Bronco Round-Up
New BISD students may register for seventh and eighth grade classes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at the junior high. Returning BISD students may register for junior high classes online through the Skyward access.
From 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, BJHS will host the Bronco Round-Up for new and incoming seventh and eighth graders. The event will include opportunities for:
- Schedule Pickup for those who have pre-registered
- Buy Bronco Attire
- Talk to your Coaches
- Say Hello to Your Teachers
- Meet the Band Director
- Sign up for PTO
- Visit with the Nurse
- Meet the Principal
- Tour the Campus
Elementary Registration and Meet the Teacher Nights
Elementary students may register online or at the Buckaroo Bash on Saturday, Aug. 4. For more information, call each school: East Elementary for students in pre-K through first grade, North Elementary for students in second and third grades, and South Elementary for students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades.
All three elementary schools will hold Meet the Teacher events on Tuesday, Aug. 14. East Elementary’s will be from 1 to 6:30 p.m.; North Elementary’s will be from 4 to 6 p.m.; and, South Elementary’s will be from 2 to 6 p.m.
