June 5
- Deputy Robert Evilsizer was sworn into the Sheriff’s Office. He comes to the agency with 10 years of experience as a military police officer in the Air Force. Six of those years were served as a K9 Handler, of which he also serve for the Sheriff’s Office. Chief Deputy Kevin Roach and Sheriff Will Holt will be conducting field training with Evilsizer over the next several weeks.
June 6
- A delayed report of cattle theft was reported in the southwestern part of the county. A suspect has been identified, and two possible victims exist. The investigation is on-going.
June 7
- A 41-year-old male was reported missing from his home after he left and did not return on June 6. In the early morning hours of June 8, he was found at a gas station in Eastland County.
- Holt and Evilsizer attended the monthly meeting for the Wayland Volunteer Fire Department.
June 8
- A deputy travelled to Waxahachie to pickup up an inmate in the Ellis County Jail who was wanted in Stephens County on a felony charge of Assault on a Family Member Impeding Breath. The 31-year-old male inmate was returned to Stephens County Jail.
Calls for service include but are not limited to: 911 calls, proactive contacts, non-emergency calls, registering sex offenders, serving civil papers, transporting prisoners and juveniles in and out of the county, mental hospital transports, court security, etc.
