The 2026 Stephens County Junior Livestock Show will start Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Stephens County Ag Center on U.S. Highway 180, east of Breckenridge.
Rylee Fuller, a BHS junior, was notified in late August that she was chosen to be in the National FFA Band, representing Texas and Breckenridge in Indianapolis.
Two local student ag organizations — Breckenridge FFA and Stephens County 4-H — are collecting gift card donations to support those impacted by the recent floods in Central Texas.
Enrollment changes, facility updates and student achievements took center stage at the Breckenridge Independent School District board meeting on Nov. 18, where trustees also approved key purchases and heard a presentation by members of the Breckenridge High School FFA Public Relations team.
The four Stephens County 4-H’ers who make up the Range Evaluation team and the Plant ID team competed at the Texas 4-H Roundup in College Station last week and won both contests.

The 66th annual Stephens County Junior Livestock Show wrapped up Saturday, Jan. 6, with the Jacob Jackson Master Showman competition and the awards ceremony, followed by the buyers’ luncheon and sale.
Last month, several Stephens County youth involved in agriculural organizations represented the community at a variety of contests, bringing home quite a few ribbons and banners.
