James ‘Jim’ Robert Reynolds
James “Jim” Robert Reynolds, 69, of Breckenridge, Texas, peacefully passed away on May 24, 2026. A memorial service will be held Saturday June 6, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Victory Life Church in Breckenridge, Texas, with Rev. Danny Brown officiating.
James was born January 19, 1957, in Boulder, Colorado, to George and Robbie Joan Reynolds. His family was rooted and grounded in Breckenridge for most of his life. He married his high school sweetheart, Teresa Woodrum on March 9, 1976. Jim’s professional life reflected the many talents and passions he carried throughout his lifetime. His deep love for the outdoors led him to serve as a Ranger with Texas State Parks and Wildlife, where he found joy in preserving and enjoying God’s creation. He also successfully owned and operated his own business for 18 years. Later, Jim served with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office where he faithfully carried out his duties with integrity and compassion.
However, to Jim, his work was always more than a job, he saw every role as an opportunity to minister to others, living out his faith in every aspect of his life. Jim was a Deacon, and together with Teresa, served for decades as youth ministers and in leadership roles within the church.
Being a husband, dad, and Papa were his greatest calling in life.
Jim is preceded in death by his father George Reynolds, his mother Robbie Joan Reynolds, and his loving grandmother Ida Dixon.
Jim Reynolds is survived by his wife of 50 years, Teresa Reynolds of Breckenridge; his brother, Tony Reynolds of Breckenridge; his sisters Beverly Monds and husband MC of Azle, Texas, and Janice Lynch and husband Billy of Port Monmouth, N.J.; and his brother Bruce Reynolds and wife Kathy of Fort Worth, Texas; his three daughters Trisha Ellis and husband Michael, Jennifer Moore and husband Van, and Rebekah Claybrook and husband Jo Bryan all of Breckenridge; eight grandchildren, Brooklyn Hill, Austin Hill, Evan Moore, Aaron Moore, Cambry Claybrook, Avery Claybrook, Quinton Ellis, and Kaitlyn Ellis; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family invites memorial contributions to a fund established at Clear Fork Bank in honor of Jim’s life. Teresa will prayerfully direct donations to charitable causes and organizations that reflect the values, passions, and legacy he held dear.
