Cynthia Jordan Reynolds
Cynthia Jordan Reynolds, 80, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, in Fort Worth, surrounded by her loving family. The family will welcome friends for a visitation at Melton Kitchens Funeral Home from 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday, November 2. The funeral Service will be held at the Melton Kitchens Chapel of Memories at 2 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2025, with Danny Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Reynolds Ranch Cemetery.
Cynthia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community. She was born on July 28, 1945, in Littlefield, Texas. After graduating from high school, she continued her education at West Texas State, preparing for a life dedicated to service and family. On June 10, 1966, she married the love of her life, Wayne J. Reynolds. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised their daughters to be strong, independent women.
For well over 30 years, Cynthia served as the dedicated executive secretary at Bethany Baptist Church, where her faith and tireless work ethic were a testament to her character. In her final working years, she continued her path of service at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home, a role she performed with grace and compassion.
Cynthia will be deeply missed by her surviving sister, Johnnye Michael Abston; daughters, April Adkins and Shai Berry; grandchildren, Thomas Adkins, Shania Berry, Emerson Aldape, and husband Michael, Kendyl Adams, and Grant Adams; as well as great-grandchildren, Brantley Berry, Zae Bivins, Aven Perkins, and Emilio Adkins. She also leaves behind a bonus granddaughter, Kaci Funderburg, and bonus great-grandchildren, Kaycey Funderburg and Liam Funderburg, all of whom were the light of her life. She is also survived by numerous close relatives and friends who will forever remember her kind spirit and unwavering strength.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne J. Reynolds; mother, Mary Malone; father, Johnny Jordan; sisters, Margie Dickerson and Marilyn Waight; daughters, Tina Lanai Adams and Tatia Snell; and grandson, Zachary Jordan Berry.
