Elks Lodge #1480 donates grant to Dr. Goodall’s House

The Breckenridge Elks Lodge #1480 presented a $4,000 grant to Dr. Goodall’s House/Virginia’s House in Breckenridge today to help support foster children in the area.
The grant is a Gratitude Grant from the Elks National Foundation, available annually to Elks lodges that meet a donation threshold. The grant will be used locally for direct services, including resources for families at the Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA program in Stephens County.
“It’s going to (Dr. Goodall’s) House to help with foster kids in the area, getting them supplies and whatever they might need, making sure that they’re taken care of,” said John Powell, Exalted Ruler with the local Elks Lodge. “This Elks Lodge will give away over $10,000 this year in these types of grants to different charitable organizations within (the area).”
