Early voting in primary runoffs continues through May 22; election day is May 26
Although there are no local runoff elections for the 2026 primary election, Stephens County voters can cast their ballots for several federal and state offices in Early Voting this week and on Election Day next week.
Early voting started on Monday, May 18, will continue through Friday, May 22, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Stephens County Courthouse, 200 W. Walker St.
On Election Day, Tuesday, May 26, voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following precinct locations:
- Precincts 1 and 5 – Clear Fork Bank (Tower Room), 101 E. Walker St.
- Precinct 2 – First Presbyterian Church (fellowship hall), 1601 W. Elliott St.
- Precinct 3 – Stephens County Annex Building, 222 N. Baylor Ave.
- Precinct 4 – Breckenridge ISD Support Center (bus barn), 907 U.S. Highway 183 N. (North Breckenridge Avenue)
The Republican ballots will include a runoff for U.S. Senator between incumbent John Cornyn and Ken Paxton, as well as state runoffs for Attorney General between Mayes Middleton and Chip Roy, Railroad Commissioner between Bo French and Jim Wright, and Court of Criminal Appeals Place 3 between Alison Fox and Thomas Smith.
The Democratic ballot will have two state runoffs for Lieutenant Governor between Vikki Goodwin and Marcos Isaias Velez, and Attorney General between Nathan Johnson and Joe Jaworski.
