A pancake supper fundraiser benefiting Bill Flournoy is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Breckenridge Elks Lodge, 6074 FM 2231. The fundraiser is co-hosted by the Stephenville Area Elks Lodge and the Breckenridge Elks Lodge.

The pancake meals will be available on a donation basis.

Organizers said the community is coming together to support Flournoy, a Stephens County deputy and member of the Elks Lodge, who recently underwent major surgery at MD Anderson to remove an esophageal tumor. Following the surgery, he experienced complications, including a stent placement after a tear was discovered, as well as pneumonia.

Flournoy has since been transferred to Abilene Hendrick Continuous Care and will undergo physical therapy rehabilitation.

According to the information provided, his service to the Elks includes roles as Exalted Ruler for three years, trustee for several years, District PER Secretary-Treasurer, interlodge chairman, esquire and auditor for district deputy, vice president and currently area special representative.
