Breckenridge Rotary, Carter BloodCare to host blood drive on Thursday, March 5
The Rotary Club of Breckenridge and Carter BloodCare will hold a blood drive Thursday, March 5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Texas State Technical College, 307 North Breckenridge Ave., Room 103.
Carter BloodCare provides blood to hospitals throughout the north, central and east Texas regions, including Breckenridge.
A single donation can save up to three lives. Carter BloodCare directors note all blood types are in demand, especially O negative. The universal blood type, O negative can help any patient, and is the only blood type used to treat premature and unborn babies.
Blood is required every day to help mothers having difficult deliveries, people injured in car wrecks, children fighting cancer, organ transplant recipients, open-heart surgery patients, and many others.
Click here to register online for this week’s Breckenridge blood drive. Donors will receive a quilted tote bag while supplies last.
A photo ID will be required to donate.
