On Wednesday morning, the staff of Graham Savings and Loan in Breckenridge presented a check to Doug Beaty for the 2025 Toys for Tots program in Stephens County.

The check was for $749.20. The funds were donated by the bank’s Breckenridge employees, Ronnie Langford, Lori Herring, Fallon Martinez and Sarah Shockley.

Beaty, a retired U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt., is the coordinator in Stephens and Shackleford counties for the Marine Corps Reserves’ Toys for Tots program. He has been overseeing the local program for 37 years.

During the holiday season, there will be Toys for Tots toy donation boxes located throughout the community, including at Graham Savings, and some locations also will have small cash donation boxes where cash donations can be made. The donations the program receives are used to help children in the local community.

The program focuses primarily on collecting new, unwrapped toys for children for Christmas.
