It’s Buckaroo Homecoming week in Breckenridge, and there are a variety of activities planned. The theme of this year’s homecoming is Boots and Roots.

Homecoming Parade and Bonfire

On Wednesday, Sept. 17, the Homecoming Parade will take place through downtown Breckenridge, followed by a bonfire and pep rally at the baseball/softball fields, located on Little League Road off of North U.S. Highway 183.

For those with floats in the parade, the lineup will start at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the designated locations. Those who want their float to be judged on their theme interpretation, creativity, and originality will need to be in line by 6:15 p.m.

The parade will travel east down Walker Street from Miller Street to Court Street, where the floats will turn the north. Floats will be torn down in the Breckenridge High School or Texas State Technical College parking lots.

There will not be a downtown pep rally. Instead, fans and athletes will gather at the baseball fields for a bonfire and pep rally after the parade.
