Bargain Box celebrates grand re-opening with ribbon cutting ceremony

The Bargain Box thrift store hosted a grand re-opening on Friday morning, April 11, with a Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony.

The thrift store, which is operated by and benefits St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, moved to its new location at 218 E. Walker St. last year. In 2020, the shop from its 30-year location on West Williams Street to 105 S. Breckenridge Ave. After a few years there, a deal was made with David and Lisa Stowe, who own the Blackhorse Mercantile and Cafe, to swap properties, allowing the Blackhorse to take over the building on South Breckenridge Avenue, since it is adjacent to the restaurant.

St. Andrew’s Rector, Father Donald Sackett, as well as other church members, welcomed guests to the Bargain Box’s grand re-opening.

The shop sells clothing, accessories, housewares, home decor items, toys, books and more.

The Bargain Box is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
