Tyndall was born on December 23, 1962, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Gwendolyn Charles Cooper. While growing up, he attended Williamson Chapel CME, participated in the Breckenridge Boy’s choir, and was a standout in multiple sports. Tyndall graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1981 and went on to play football for several years at Tarleton State University. Tyndall worked for many years as a transporter for various companies such as BJ Hughes, Coors, Oak Farms, and Garden Ridge before his retirement. Tyndall lived a life marked by an unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He had an infectious laugh and big personality that lit up the room. Tyndall devoted his time and energy advocating for people and issues that were important to him. He never met a stranger and had a unique ability to take control of any conversation. Tyndall not only gained, but kept the attention of anyone willing to listen. He loved debating current issues and always stayed true to himself. Tyndall was a jokester by nature and could turn a somber room into a comedy show in an instant. Tyndall never missed an opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest. He loved cooking and fellowship and never turned down tasty barbecue, homemade Mexican food, or chocolate cake. He was the plant whisperer and could produce lemons the size of grapefruits. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, conversing with neighbors, and talking to friends and family on the phone.
Tyndall is now reunited and rejoicing with some of his greatest loves. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwen; his grandparents, Faye and Fulton Williams; his great-aunt Bernistein Tate, and his only brother, Jackie Cooper.
Tyndall is survived his sisters: Rhonda Mills (Alvin) of Delaware, Cynthia Moore (Tom) of Granbury, Valerie Cooper of Louisiana, Deriska Duplechain (Tony) of San Antonio, and Stephanie McCafferty (Rob) of Austin; his nieces: Malarie Gill (Derek) of Granbury and Morgan Duplechain of San Antonio; his nephews: Stephan Cooper (Marissa) of Haslet, Jackie Cooper of Little Elm, and Kuylor Cooper of San Antonio; his great-niece Kaia and great-nephews Logan and Cooper; and a host of cousins and close friends.
Tyndall placed his siblings, extended family, and friends above all else. Although we are saddened of his loss, we take comfort in knowing that his boundless spirit will continue to live in our hearts and inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Tyndall leaves a legacy of love and compassion. He finally hit the jackpot!
