The City of Breckenridge and Stephens County are partnering to pick up brush inside the city limits of Breckenridge the week of Oct. 21-24. The cooperative effort between the two government entities is offered as a service to the residents of Breckenridge for the disposal of their tree trimmings.

Residents must have brush that they would like to be hauled off at curbside by Sunday, Oct. 20.

No brush larger than 8 inches in diameter will be picked up. Brush must be cut in lengths no longer than 6 feet long, and the cut ends must be placed toward the street or curb.

The service will be provided by the City of Breckenridge and Stephens County at no charge to the residents, as has been done on a semiannual basis for several years. It will not be necessary to contact either the City of Breckenridge or Stephens County to receive the service, as the trucks will run the entire city during this week.

For more information about the disposal, visit the City of Breckenridge website at www.breckenridgetx.gov or call the City Offices at 254-559-8287.
