Breckenridge, Stephens County to hold joint meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 20, to discuss interlocal agreements
The Stephens County Commissioner and the City of Breckenridge Commissioners will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, to discuss the interlocal agreements between the City of Breckenridge and Stephens County, including an agreement concerning animal control.
The meeting is considered a workshop, and no action will be taken. It is scheduled to take place in the District Courtroom on the second floor of the Stephens County Courthouse and will be open to the public.
According to the City of Breckenridge’s agenda for the meeting, the discussion will include a review of all current interlocal agreements and a discussion about a potential new agreement on animal control. “There is an expired, outdated, limited animal control ordinance from years ago,” the notice states.
