With family, friends and community members gathered around, Kristin Walling and her parents, Loretta and Ricky Swan, cut the ribbon at a Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce ceremony for the Bridgeview RV Park and Store, located at 5300 U.S. Highway 180 West, on Friday, May 10.
The RV park and store are located just east of the “Mile Long Bridge” over Hubbard Creek Lake. It has 32 RV spots and seven tent spots, and the owners are planning to add six more RV spots down by the water, as well as some more tent spots closer to the lake.
Walling and her parents have owned the RV park for a little over a year and have been working to improve the property. The Swans owned the Bridgeview about 25 years ago for several years, they said.
New to the property is the store, which carries snacks, drinks, a few basic groceries, firewood, some trailer supplies, fishing tackle, bait and more. There is also a dog park, bath house, dock, kids playground and laundry room. The community room includes a full kitchen with a stove/oven, microwave and refrigerator; it will be available for rent to community members who are looking for a place to host an event.
