The program was presented by Whitney Herrington, marketing and development director at Frontier Texas in Abilene. Herrington talked about Frontier Texas and told a personal story about the importance that history and heritage plays in a person’s life. She brought a book that her grandmother created for her dad before Herrington was born and shared excerpts from it that connected their history.

Herrington received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Abilene Christian University and immediately began working with a local non-profit in Abilene as the director of a middle school girls program, inspiring confidence and encouraging healthy self-esteem. She then transitioned into the role of assistant director at the Griggs Center for Entrepreneurship & Philanthropy at ACU, where she helped with the overall strategic implementation of the center’s multitude of projects. In 2020, Whitney pursued a tri-continental master’s degree program, earning her Master of Global Business from the University of Victoria, located in British Columbia, Canada.

The hostesses were for the meeting were Rhonda Strickland, Ginger Dittmar, Alva Carey, Kathey Collinsworth, Lin Sims and Julie Fore. The meal was catered by PitStop Bar-B-Q.
