The cafe, which serves coffee, tea, wine and beer, as well as a few small-bite snack items, is located at 203 W. Walker St., inside the Bertie & Olif boutique and Serenity Salon location.

It is owned and operated by Amanda and Brian Holloway. They are originally from Odessa and moved here to be closer to family, Brian said at the ribbon-cutting event on Friday.

“We love good coffee and good wine,” he said. “We had been on a search for good coffee and wine, and we decided we wanted to share that with everybody else.”

Soggy Dog offers a variety of fair-trade coffee that comes from around the world, including Mexico, Ethiopia and Colombia. “We know the plantation or farm that it comes from,” Holloway said. “It’s all roasted and used in the store within 30 days. So, it’s all very fresh. That’s what makes the difference.”

Most of the beer and wine are from Texas, he said. The teas that they offer can be served hot or iced.

The restaurant/bar is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. They offer curbside service and delivery within four blocks of the shop.

In addition to seating inside, Soggy Dog also offers several sidewalk seating options outside.
