Election for proposed Texas constitutional amendments to take place Tuesday, Nov. 7

On Tuesday, Nov. 7, Texas citizens will have a chance to vote on 14 proposed state constitutional amendments. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In Stephens County, voters will cast their ballots at their assigned precinct locations:

  • Precinct #1: First National Bank Tower Room, 101 E. Walker St.
  • Precinct #2: Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 1601 W. Elliott St.
  • Precinct #3: Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce, 100 E. Elm St.
  • Precinct #4: BISD Support Center (Bus Barn), 907 U.S. Highway 183 N.
  • Precinct #5: Wayland Volunteer Fire Department, 10276 FM 1852

The precinct you live in should be listed on your voter registration card. If you don’t have your card, you can check your precinct number on the Texas Secretary of State’s website, or you can call the Stephens County Elections Office at 254-559-2732.

According to information on the Texas Secretary of State’s website, during Early Voting (Oct. 23-Nov.3), there were a total of 849 votes cast in Stephens County, including in-person and by-mail ballots. That’s 14.93 percent of the 5,685 registered voters in the county.
