Sips of Summer wine tasting event scheduled for Sept. 9
The 2023 Sips of Summer wine tasting event hosted by the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 9.
Continuing with the format that the Chamber introduced last year, Wine with an Appeal will handle the tasting. Tom Rowe with Wine with an Appeal will present 12 wines from all around the world and will guide attendees through each wine, providing all of the pertinent details as well as teaching wine history, how wine is made, improving wine vocabulary and entertaining with wine trivia.
In addition to the wines, palate cleansers and various cheeses will be provided.
Kyle Fambro and Jared McLane will perform during the annual event, playing soft music while people are coming in and then playing for another 30 minutes in between the wine presentation, said Yuri Huntington, executive director of the Chamber.
Tickets cost $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Only 150 tickets will be sold. The event is a fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce.
Sips of Summer is open only to those age 21 and older. It will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Breckenridge Woman’s Forum, 1804 W. Walker St.
