Breckenridge Library to present puppet program on Thursday, June 15
The Breckenridge Library will present a special summer performance by the Dallas Puppet Theater at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at the Breckenridge Woman’s Forum, 1804 W. Walker St. It will be free and open to all ages.
The musical marionette show will include lots of interaction and large colorful puppets. A member of the audience will get to be part of the performance, helping them demonstrate the magic of marionettes, and the audience will get a backstage peek at the secret world of puppetry.
The Dallas Puppet Theater is a non-profit organization in Dallas dedicated to promoting and advancing the performing, visual, and creative art of puppetry through an ongoing series of family performances, guest artists, school programs, workshops and outreach programs. The puppet presentation is part of the Breckenridge Library’s Summer Reading Program. Regular events in the program take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesdays in June and July in the library, located at 209 N. Breckenridge Ave.
The Breckenridge Library is open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It is closed Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, call the library at 254-559-5505.
