The diner, which is owned and operated by Paula Roach, moved from its previous location on West Walker, where Pam’s Café had been. The new location offers more customer seating, as well as more kitchen space.

On the southeast corner of Baylor Ave. and Walker Street, the new spot for Ol’ Timers Diner was previously a doughnut shop and a chicken wing restaurant; prior to that, it was Ray Black’s II auto sales.

“(Paula’s) dream was to own her own restaurant,” Rachel Kemper said at the ceremony on Tuesday. “So she … got it up and running about a year and a half ago. She started to outgrow the space,  so she moved here. This is a realization of a lifelong dream for her. So I’m super proud of her. I think it’s gonna be a great success, and it’s all down to her and her cooking and love.”

The restaurant is open the following hours:

  • Sundays – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Mondays – 6:30-8 a.m., drive-through only; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., dine-in.
  • Tuesdays – 6:30-8 a.m., drive-through only; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., dine-in.
  • Wednesdays – 6:30-8 a.m., drive-through only; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., dine-in.
  • Thursdays – 6:30-8 a.m., drive-through only; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., dine-in.
  • Fridays – 6:30-8 a.m., drive-through only; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., dine-in.
  • Saturdays – Closed

The menu includes traditional breakfast items, as well as burgers, sandwiches and other diner favorites, such as steak fingers, chicken strips and a daily plate special, which are usually listed on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
