A fundraiser to help local resident Whitney Pilkington get the stem cell transplant she needs will be held from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at the Breckenridge VFW, located at 216 E. Williams St. near downtown Breckenridge.

Catfish plates will be served, beginning at 3 p.m., and the live auction will begin at 5 p.m. To donate items for the auction, take it to the VFW before 4 p.m. on June 10. The event will also feature music by The Hodges.

There will also be two items raffled off: an original 16×20, framed oil painting by Becky Hicks and a “pre-loved Louis Vuitton bag” donated by Bertie & Olif Boutique. The drawing for the two items will be at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, and you do not need to be present to win. The painting is valued at $1,800, and tickets for the painting raffle cost $10 each or 6 for $50. Tickets for the LV bag raffle cost $20 per ticket or six for $100.

Additionally, an account at Clear Fork Bank (formerly First National Bank) has been opened to accept donations for Pilkington. Anyone can donate directly at the bank.
