The Rodney Hartfield Benefit Cornhole Tournament is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Trade Barn in the Breckenridge City Park.

Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. There will be three divisions, and the costs vary, depending on the division.

The Open division will cost $60 per team, and the competitive/social division will cost $40 per team. There will be 60 percent payouts with the remaining funds to be donated to Rodney Hartfield. There will be cash payouts and plaques awarded to first, second and third places.

There will also be a Backyard division for people who usually play cornhole in their backyards and may be unfamiliar with points. Bags will be available, if needed. The Backyard division will cost $20 per team. Cash payouts will be made to first and second places.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and drinks. Pit Stop BBQ will be selling food on-site.

Hartfield had a kidney and liver transplant earlier this year, but the kidney transplant didn’t work out. So, he will need another transplant once he’s healed from the earlier surgery. Click here to read the Breckenridge Texan’s previous article about Hartfield’s surgery.
