BISD announces Class of 2023 Valedictorian, Salutatorian
Breckenridge Independent School District has announced today, May 16, the following top academic honors for the Class of 2023:
Keaton Ragle, Valedictorian
Heer Gandhi, Salutatorian
Superintendent Bryan Allen announced at the school board meeting earlier this month that normally the top honors are announced at the May meeting. However, Ragle and Gandhi’s scores were too close to call. The school district waited on grades from some dual-credit classes the students were taking before officially naming the valedictorian and salutatorian.
The Breckenridge High School Class of 2023 will graduate next week. The graduation ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Friday, May 26, in the BISD Athletics & Fine Arts Center (the big gym), located at the corner of Live Oak and Second streets. Those who cannot attend the ceremony can watch it live on the BISD YouTube channel online.
The annual BHS Scholarship Awards Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 18, in Bailey Auditorium on the high school campus.
