Troy Riddle
Troy Riddle, age 80, of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4, in the Veale Creek Cemetery with Larry Briley officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Troy Gene Riddle was born August 23, 1942, in Henrietta, Texas, to George Troy Riddle and Della Mae Phillips Riddle. After high school, he joined the United States Army and served until his honorable discharge. On February 26, 1980, he married Brenda Gail Hunt. Troy worked in the oilfield for many years and also for the golf course as a mechanic. He enjoyed watching old television shows, especially westerns with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Troy also liked and lived to fish. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one sister, Louise Clifton.
Troy is survived by two sons, John Riddle and wife Marie of Big Spring, and Cody Riddle and wife Leigha of Breckenridge; two brothers, Jerry Riddle and Carl Riddle; one sister, Gladys Lowther and husband Russell; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Riddle, Landon Riddle, Luke Riddle, Emily Morin, and Alyssa Riddle; one great-grandson, Benjamin Guerra; and multiple nieces and nephews.
