Photo Gallery focuses on Buckaroo 2022 Homecoming Parade
Last Wednesday, ahead of Friday’s Buckaroo varsity football game, the community celebrated with a Homecoming Parade through downtown Breckenridge, followed by a pep rally beside the Stephens County Courthouse, and the Breckenridge Texan’s publisher/photographer, Tony Pilkington, was there to capture the excitement for a photo gallery.
As the BISD All-Sports Booster Club is celebrating “100 Years of Buckaroo Football: 1922-2022,” the theme of this year’s Homecoming and the parade was “The Good Old Days.”
The parade featured dozens of floats, which were judged, based on the theme. The winners were:
First Place – Seventh Grade Broncos
Second Place – The Learning Tree
Third Place – Third and Fourth Grade Little Bucks
Before Friday night’s game against the Benbrook Bobcats, Abby Otts was named Homecoming Queen, and Nate Aguilar was named Homecoming King.
