Breckenridge Chamber to host Sips of Summer wine tasting on Friday, Aug. 12
The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce’s annual Sips of Summer wine tasting event is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 12, and this year’s event has something new in store for attendees.
The Chamber has arranged for Wine with an Appeal to handle the tasting. An instructor will share what he knows about how to understand wine vocabulary, winemaking and wine history, and will entertain with wine trivia.
Attendees will get to sample 13 different wines from all around the world, as the instructor provides information on each of the wines (what to look for in the aromas, which varietals are present, the wine region where the grapes were grown, vintage, etc.). In addition to the wines, palate cleansers and various cheeses will be provided.
Tickets cost $35 in advance or $50 at the door. Only 150 tickets will be sold. The event is a fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce.
Sips of Summer is open only to those age 21 and older. It will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 12 at Chandelier Ridge, 5470 U.S. Highway 183 South.
