The three-day Independence Day holiday will wrap up locally with the Salute in the Salt Flats Fireworks Show south of Breckenridge tonight, Monday, July 4. The show, hosted by the Rail A Ranch, is scheduled to begin after 9 p.m. in the vicinity of the intersection of FM 576 and FM 3418, near Canyon Road Barn and Grill.

The show will be free to attend, and donations are being accepted to benefit local volunteer fire departments.

On Saturday night, a large crowd showed up at the Corley’s Landing area of Hubbard Creek Lake for the Boomfest Fireworks Show, sponsored by Stowe’s Independent Services and the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce. Others were gathered at various spots around the lake, including a small group that gathered at the roadside park just east of the Mile-Long Bridge.
