Breckenridge High School graduate Heath Oakley recently rescued a man and three dogs when a fire broke out in Comanche, where he is now a police officer.

Oakley graduated from BHS in 2017 and has been working at the CPD for about a year, according to news reports.

Oakley’s experience as a firefighter kicked in when he arrived on the scene, and he rescued a man from an RV that went up in flames minutes later. Sparks from that fire drifted to another structure, where Oakley later helped rescue three dogs, he told KTAB News in Abilene.
