BISD honors four employees with retirement reception
The Breckenridge Independent School District celebrated the retirement of four employees on Wednesday afternoon, May 18.
Retiring at the end of the 2021-22 school year are Lou Simmons, central office manager and accounting, 31 years with BISD; Glenda Knight, South Elementary School receptionist, 30 years with BISD; Martha Brannan, Breckenridge High School Spanish teacher, 27 years with BISD, 38 years total in education; and, Lynette Norman, South Elementary counselor, five years with BISD, 30 years in education.
BISD presented each retiree with a rocking chair as a retirement gift. They also received gifts from Rustic Charm and Kim and Calvin Best.
