Students and fans get fired up at bonfire and pep rally as Bucks head to playoff game

Students and fans were on hand at last night’s bonfire and pep rally to cheer on the Buckaroos Varsity Football team as they prepare to head to the Bi-District playoff game against the Whitesboro Bearcats.

There will be a sendoff for the team this afternoon as they head out to Fort Worth. The Victory Drive By will start out at the junior high and high school from 2:20 – 2:25 p.m. The bus will then go to South Elementary continue through downtown and drive in front of East Elementary and on to Fort Worth.

The Buckaroos are going into tonight’s Bi-District game as the second seed for District 3-3A Division 1. They will take on the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Castleberry ISD’s W.O. Barnes Stadium.

The stadium is located at 4801 Blackstone Dr. in River Oaks (Fort Worth), and Whitesboro will be on the home team side. Tickets will cost $5 for adults and $3 for students. Click here to purchase tickets to the game.

The Whitesboro Bearcats are the third seed in District 4-3A Division 1 with a district record of 5-2 this year. The winner of the Breckenridge-Whitesboro game will go to the Area round of the playoffs and play the winner of the Bushland-Slaton Bi-District game.
