The Breckenridge Economic Development Corporation and Chamber of Commerce will host a three-day job fair on Aug. 11 – 13. During those days, members of the public can stop by and fill out employment applications for positions that are available at local businesses.

To get ready for the event, the Chamber is currently collecting blank employment applications from businesses that are hiring and who want to participate. Once the blank applications are received, they will be available to anybody who wants them in the front room of the Chamber of Commerce Office at 100 E. Elm during the three-day period.

Job applicants can also use the Chamber’s conference room to fill out the applications and turn them in at the Chamber office. The completed forms will then be given to the businesses the following business day. Additionally, job applicants can include a resume with their completed forms and that will the forwarded to the companies, as well.

“This is just kind of giving them a chance to see what all is available right now in town. They can come by and pick up an application…go ahead and fill it out and turn it in, if they want to just to get it done. Or, if they want to go by the businesses and turn them in there and talk to them, that’s fine, too,” said Whitney Stultz, office manager for the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce.
