Donny Peoples, age 42, of Breckenridge, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021. The family will hold a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at the Newcastle High School football field with Brad Owen officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.

Donny Leon Peoples was born July 27, 1978, in Olney, Texas, to parents Lee Peoples and Thelma Wilson. He was a member of the Class of 1997 at Newcastle High School. While there he played football for several years. After graduation, he enrolled in the Construction Trades at Kiamichi Technology Center. He went to state competitions in his field and was on the honor roll. On August 15, 2018, he married Lorraine Noahubi in Hartshorne, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lola May Rhodes; his aunt, Sally Rhodes; a cousin, Nellie Reddick; and several other aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Peoples of Breckenridge; three children, Kayla Branam and husband Terry of McAlester, Oklahoma, Natasha Dalton and wife Elisa, and Terry Noahubi, all of Breckenridge; his parents, Thelma Wilson of Breckenridge, and Lee and Teresa Peoples of Kiowa, Oklahoma; four brothers, Joe Campbell and wife Janis of Newcastle, Thomas Peoples of New Orleans, Louisiana, Brian Peoples of Graham, and Chase Peoples of Kiowa, Oklahoma; one sister, Nikki Perteet and husband Michael of McAlester, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kajua, Kahleeha, Henry and Miracle Walters; special grandchildren, Dustin, Brooklyn, Layla and Chloe Peasha, and Brody Leon Dalton; special friends, Gerald Peasha and Elaine Cole, Phillip Walters; fourteen nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.

A special thank you to Kindred Hospice for helping to make Donny and I comfortable and to the staff at Morehart Mortuary for the service and arrangements.
