Chicken sandwich fundraiser to benefit Science Camp trip

UPDATE: Due to winter weather conditions on Feb. 11, the pickup of the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches has been been postponed until Thursday, Feb. 18. The same times and location will apply.
The fifth-graders at South Elementary are selling Chick-Fil-A sandwich meals to raise money for their upcoming Science Camp trip.
Tickets cost $7 each for the meal, which includes a sandwich, chips and a dessert. The tickets will be on sale through Monday, Feb. 8, from BISD fifth-grade students, at InterBank, The Vintage Butterfly or ResourceCare.
The meals will be available for pickup between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Feb. 11 Feb. 18 at First United Methodist Church.
The funds raised from the benefit will be used to help pay for the fifth-graders’ annual trip to Science Camp, held at Camp Grady Spruce on Possum Kingdom Lake. This year’s trip is scheduled for late March.
Editor’s note: This story was updated at about 8 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, to announce the new pickup time.
