Clyde answered with another touchdown a few minutes later.

Following a 47-yard pass from Buckaroo junior quarterback Henry Johnson to senior Logan King, Lawson made a 1-yard touchdown. With another Mendez extra point, the game was tied at 14-14.

But, Clyde took the lead once again with a field goal just before the buzzer, sending the teams to half-time with a score of 14-17 in favor of the Bulldogs.

Clyde opened the second half with a touchdown on their first possession, widening their lead to 14-24.

With a little more than 5 minutes left in the third quarter, Lawson made his third and final touchdown of the game. Mendez’s kick brought the score to 21-24.

A couple of plays later, the Buckaroos recovered a fumble by the Bulldogs, but on the next play, Clyde took the ball back with an interception. Another Bulldog touchdown put them 10 points ahead, 21-31.

The fourth quarter was scoreless up until the last 29 seconds of the game, when Clyde scored one last touchdown, ending with a score of 21-38.
