Breckenridge’s annual Holy Week Services to be offered online this year

For about 40 years, the churches of Breckenridge came together the week before Easter for lunchtime worship services at the Stephens County Courthouse, but this year, due to the threat from the novel (new) coronavirus, the local Ministerial Alliance has decided to offer the services online.

At noon each day this week, a different pastor will host a segment of the Online Holy Week Services on Facebook live (www.facebook.com/BreckMinAlliance). This year’s Holy Week services will offer a study of the book of Matthew, Chapter 27.

The services will be offered on the following schedule:

  • Monday – Andy Rodgers (First Baptist Church) Matthew 27:1-10. You can view his message by clicking the following link: Holy Week Services 2020 – Monday
  • Tuesday – Matt Hall (First United Methodist, St Paul Methodist) Matthew 27:11-26
  • Wednesday – Fr. Don Sackett (St. Andrew’s Anglican Church) Matthew 27:27-31
  • Thursday – Trey McDuff (New Destination Church) Matthew 27:32-44
  • Friday – Russell Brock (Rose Avenue Baptist Church) Matthew 27:45-66
