Brent Loyd Culwell, 60, of Breckenridge passed away April 2, 2020, in Abilene. The Culwell family will be having a Memorial Service at a later date at the Post Oak Cemetery. Melton Kitchens Funeral Home will notify the community of the Memorial Service date when that is set in place.

Brent was born December 8, 1959, to Loyd Culwell and Brenda Rumfelt in Fort Worth, Texas. Brent hauled hay during his high school years. He graduated from Breckenridge High School as class of 1978. Brent went onto TSTC in Waco and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in the automotive field.

Brent married Donna Kay Tibbels on December 15, 1986. He worked for R.E. Dye Manufacturing after his marriage and then later owned and operated Brent’s Exxon on Walker Street. Brent loved serving his customers at the local gas station and always wanted to make sure their automotive needs were taken care of. He enjoyed reading, cooking on the grill and loved his church. Brent was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

Brent is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna Culwell; daughter, Leslie Fields and husband, Larry; granddaughter, Anna Newcumb; father, Loyd Culwell and wife, Liz; mother, Brenda Rumfelt; half-brother, Steven Culwell; half-sisters, Ashley Rumfelt, Mindy Myrick, Via Von Banks, and Teresa Rumfelt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
