January 28

  • A deputy traveled to Taylor County Jail to take custody of a 35-year-old female and 33-year-old female who were wanted in Stephens County. The 35-year-old female was wanted for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1. The other female was wanted for two Insufficient Bond Order warrants related to past charges for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Dangerous Drug. Both were transported to Stephens County Jail.

January 29

  • A deputy initiated a traffic stop on South Flint Avenue for expired registration. A drug investigation ensued, and the 22-year-old male passenger of the vehicle evaded on foot. He was caught a few minutes later and arrested for Evading Detention/Arrest.

January 30

  • A female inmate was transported to a women’s Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison near Gatesville.

February 3

  • A deputy conducted a motorist assist on Park Road 33 that turned into a warrant arrest on a 44-year-old male. The detainer was issued by the Immigration and Naturalization Service. He was transported to the jail.
  • A deputy made a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 180 West, and two occupants of the vehicle had warrants for the arrest. They were both transported to the jail.
  • A deputy conducted a warrant service on East Sixth Street where a 34-year-old female was arrested for assault.
  • A delayed report of theft was made from a residence on CR 300. The keypad for their electric gate had been stolen some time during the past two months.

February 4

  • A deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 183 South. Two male occupants in the vehicle were wanted by the Immigration and Naturalization Service. One of them had an additional felony warrant out of Eastland County for Indecency with a Child.

February 5

  • A deputy was contacted by a Shackelford County deputy who had arrested a 49-year-old male for a warrant out of Stephens County. The warrant was for assault. They exchanged the prisoner at the county line, and he was then transported to Stephens County Jail.

February 6

  • A deputy arrested a 62-year-old male at the Law Enforcement Center for two felony warrants for violating bond conditions. The original charges were for manufacture/delivery of methamphetamine and theft of property.

February 8

  • A criminal trespass warning was issued to a 21-year-old female for a property in the 4100 block of FM 2231.

February 9

  • A deputy made a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 180 West. A drug investigation ensued. The driver was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than Two Ounces.
