U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Doug Beaty met with members of the Breckenridge Elks Club recently to collect toys that are being donated to the local Toys for Tots program.

The toys were collected during the employee Christmas party at Jonell Filtration Products Inc. in Breckenridge. Jonell employees brought the toys to their party and then gave them to the Elks Club, which donated them to Toys for Tots.

Beaty said they are still Toys for Tots donation boxes at locations around Breckenridge and Stephens County and they will be accepting donations until Monday, Dec. 23. Some of the locations were donations boxes are located are Walmart, Gebos, Tractor Supply, Canyon Road Barn & Grill, Ernie’s, The Pizzeria, the VFW, Covenant Tabernacle Church, Dollar General, the Breckenridge High School Band Hall, the Walker-Sayle Unit and the Cricket store.

The Angel Tree and Toys for Tots programs are working together this year to ensure that the children of Breckenridge receive toys for Christmas. More information on where donations boxes are located can be found at the Toys for Tots Facebook page.

Beaty said all the toys collected in Stephens County will be distributed to kids in Stephens County.
