Rotary Club’s Taste of the Holidays raises funds for scholarships

The Breckenridge community had a chance to sample some local food, listen to live music and bid on holiday centerpieces, all while helping raise funds for two non-profit organizations, at the fourth annual Taste of the Holidays, hosted by the Rotary Club of Breckenridge on Tuesday evening, Nov. 5, at The Popular.

The event featured food from Fambro Family Farms, JR’s BBQ, Nourish by The Gym, The Vintage Butterfly, The Water Store and Wayland Creations. Kyle Fambro provided the night’s musical entertainment.

Attendees had a chance to vote on their favorite food, as well as the best decorated table. The Top Taste award went to Nourish by the Gym, and the Top Table award went to The Vintage Butterfly.

All proceeds from the Taste of the Holidays will go toward the Rotary Club of Breckenridge’s community projects, including scholarships for high school seniors. The event was sponsored by McDonald’s, Breckenridge Interbank, Bayer Chevrolet Buick Cadillac Inc., First National Bank, Jonell, Inc., Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home, Strickland’s Inspections and Susanna Corporation.

Additionally, the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center provided table centerpieces that were available for attendees to bid on during a silent auction to benefit the BFAC. The centerpieces were provided by the following businesses and individuals: ABC Printing & Office Supply, Breckenridge Interbank, BriElle Cawley – Realtor with Copperleaf Properties, Copperleaf Properties, Farmers Insurance/MIO Insurance Agency, First National Bank Albany/Breckenridge, Graham Savings and Loan, Gunsight Baptist, JB Sparks, Kipi Parks – Realtor with Copperleaf Properties, Lyn Clark, Main Street Floral & Gift Shop, Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home, MF Cattle Company, Morehart Mortuary, ONIT Well Service, Raydon Construction, Reed Wainwright, The Shack on Hubbard Creek Lake, Trammel Law Office, Vintage Butterfly, and Wimberley Law.
