The Breckenridge community got into the Homecoming spirit with a parade through downtown on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The week’s events will conclude with the Buckaroos varsity football game against the Early High School Longhorns, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25.
The 2019 Breckenridge High School Homecoming Queen and King will be crowned in a ceremony before the game. The event is scheduled to start at 6:50 p.m. in Buckaroo Stadium. If it is raining at that time, the ceremony will be moved to the BHS Athletics and Fine Arts Center (aka the Big Gym) at 6:50 p.m.
The parade, which was organized by the BLOC (Breckenridge Love Of Cheer) and MOB (Mothers of Buckaroos), featured a superheroes theme of “The Mighty Buckaroos.”
The float winners were:
- First Place – First Baptist Church’s Wee School
- Second Place – Jaelyn Carr, Zaylee Smith with Ponies Hondo and Pop Tart
- Third Place – Blast Dance Company
