Laura Bevill
Laura Bevill, age 69 of Breckenridge, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 14, in the Breckenridge Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Laura Lou McMillan was born on December 12, 1949, in Eastland County, Texas, to parents, James Forney McMillan and Elizabeth Loughry Stoker McMillan. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1968 and went on to attend Texas Tech University for several years. On January 10, 1981, Laura married Tom Bevill. She worked as a property and casualty insurance agent for Cox Insurance and was a past member of the Woman’s Forum and the Lady Elks. Laura liked cooking and loved going to the casino, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Elizabeth McMillan; her husband, Tom Bevill; one sister, Ann McMillan Lemay; and her grandparents, William and Della McMillan and Ruel and Annie Stoker.
She is survived by two children, Loughry Morrison and husband Sam of Tolar, and Mac Bevill and wife Jennifer of Justin; one brother, Jimmie McMillan and wife Jan of Breckenridge; five grandchildren, Raylee Bevill, Scott Bevill, Madelline Ibarra and husband Robert, Larry Dixon, and Sam Morrison; and three great-grandchildren, Matthew Ibarra, Ali Ibarra and Grady Ibarra.
The family would like to invite friends to gather together at the Bevill residence, 1025 W. Wheeler, following the graveside service.
