BISD to host free Buckaroo Bash on Saturday
Breckenridge parents and students will have a chance to register for school, get health screenings and haircuts for the students, and pick up a variety of information at the fourth annual Buckaroo Bash, an event featuring a variety of school and community organizations and businesses offering information and services for the upcoming school year.
The annual Buckaroo Bash, offering a variety of back-to-school booths, will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at First United Methodist Church’s Christian Life Center, 419 W. Walker. It will be free and open to the public and is offered by BISD’s Student Health Advisory Committee.
There will be free haircuts and hearing screenings for BISD students, as well as free hot dogs and more. Parents can register first-time or returning students for school, and there will be information available about various school and community organizations.
