Library Book Sale scheduled for Friday and Saturday
The Friends of the Library will host a book sale to benefit the Breckenridge Library on Friday and Saturday.
The sale will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, April 26, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the library, 209 N. Breckenridge Ave. Customers should enter through the back door of the library for the sale. There are no buyer restrictions; 98 percent of the items for sale were donated, and the items have been sorted. Sales will be by cash or local checks only.
The prices will be:
- Hardback books — $1 per item or $5 per bag
- Paperback books — 25 cents per item or $3 per bag
- DVDs, CD books, music DVDs — $2 per item
- Puzzles — $1 per item
- Magazines — 25 cents per item, $1 per bundle or $4 per bag
- Collectible books — Ask for price
- Cemetery books — $5 per item
The organization usually holds two book sales each year. Proceeds from the book sales are used to benefit the Breckenridge Library. For example, recently the library added new shelves with some of the book sale funds.
