TxDOT begins road striping project in Stephens County today, April 10

The Texas Department of Transportation’s Brownwood District will begin a thermoplastic striping project on roads throughout the nine counties of the district on Wednesday, April 10, according to a news release from the district office.

Work will begin in Stephens Countyand will move south through the other counties in the district– Brown, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, Lampasas, McCulloch, Mills and San Saba — as the project progresses. Completion is anticipated by the end of the first week of June 2019, weather permitting.

TxDOT has awarded the $978,221 contract to L&L Company of Gardendale.

Flaggers will assist in traffic control at various times throughout the mobile operation.  TxDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution and slow their speed.
