March 18
- The Sheriff attended a Stephens County TX Crime Stoppers meeting to help officially begin the organization and start this initiative.
March 20
- A deputy issued a Criminal Trespass Warning to a male subject for a residence on CR 225. The warning was related to the male subject bothering his ex-wife and her current boyfriend.
- The Sheriff’s Office hosted a training on recent trends with youth and schools on drugs and alcohol abuse. The course was taught by Texas AgriLife out of Bryan/College Station. Sheriff’s Office deputies and detention officers attended along with others.
March 21
- A deputy transported a female from Stephens County Jail to a prison near Dayton.
- The Sheriff’s Office arrested a 61-year-old male for Manufacture/Delivery of Methamphetamine and Theft over $30,000, the latter being due to him living in a camper trailer that was stolen out of Fort Worth.
March 22
- A deputy responded to a residence on CR 253 due to suspicious activity. After investigating, he found methamphetamine that had been discarded by known suspects. The investigation is on-going.
- A male subject related to the above call was found and issued a CTW for the property.
- A deputy provided bailiff security at the Stephens County Courthouse for the monthly Child Protective Services hearings.
March 23
- A parent requested that a male be issued a CTW for his address on CR 260 to help keep the male subject away from the parent’s juvenile daughter.
March 25
- A deputy transported a male inmate of Stephens County Jail to a prison near Abilene.
- The sheriff attended the monthly board meeting for Dr. Goodall’s and Virginia’s House.
- The sheriff spoke, advised and answered questions for Breckenridge Independent School District’s board members on active shooter training and prevention of such violence.
March 27
- A deputy served an arrest warrant at the jail on a 23-year-old female. The warrant was for Tampering with Evidence out of Taylor County.
- A deputy transported a female inmate of Stephens County Jail to Graham for a mental evaluation, then returned her to the jail.
March 28
- A deputy transported a male inmate from Shackelford County Jail to 90th District Court for a hearing related to past thefts of firearms and vehicles in Stephens County. The inmate was then transported back to Shackelford County Jail.
March 29
- The Sheriff’s Office arrested a 37-year-old male during 90th District Court proceedings on a warrant for insufficient bond related to a past Theft of Firearm case.
Calls for service include but are not limited to: 911 calls, non-emergency calls, registering sex offenders, working traffic accidents, serving civil papers, transporting prisoners and juveniles in and out of the county, mental hospital transports, court security, some proactive calls, etc.
